Our Approach
We meet with our clients to understand their business, establish their objectives and learn about their areas of concern within the business.
Together we agree the areas of the business to work on, create a proposal of works and plan of action.
This will lead to working out the number of hours of work a week and from this we agree on our costs.
We will then progress at the pace set by the client, with client involvement as and when required, throughout the journey of change.
Finally, we will ensure the client is confident change is being made, and happy with our progress.
Work Undertaken
December 2024 – We collaborated with an Edinburgh-based joiner who approached us for advice on growing his business and increasing visibility in the bespoke joinery market.
Our initial advise was to keep things simple and cost-effective, in line with the size of the business.
We suggested several straightforward ways to improve the company’s visibility and recommended.
- Create a company logo for an identify.
- Create a Google Business Profile for an on-line presence.
- Get a simple, self-administered website to showcase completed projects.
- Establish a presence on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, to promote the business.
After following our advice and with our support, the company increased it’s visibility. Generated more enquiries through his website, and gained a greater recognition through branded clothing and a logo on his van.
October 2024 – An established Gas Engineer based in Edinburgh, requested our assistance. With support for the company admin as well as reviewing and managing the company finances.
It soon became apparent that the client was looking for a fresh start, at which point it was jointly agreed to rebrand the company.
- The same systems and website were kept and rebranded.
- A new Google Business Profile was set up.
- A communication exercise was carried out. Informing the client base of this change.
We examined his finances and set about a cost reducing exercise. As well as taking over the role of Bookkeeper from his Accountant.
A customer journey was created to keep track all new and existing clients.
We continue undertaking the bookkeeping role for this client.
September 2025 – A very busy timber company reached out for our assistance with their bookkeeping.
A clean up of their Accounting system was undertaken as an initial piece of work.
We now undertake all the bookkeeping tasks.
- Accounts are always reconciled.
- Money in/out are always up to date.
- Correct reporting is achieved when asked for.
We are still offering continuous support to this client. Freeing up the business owner time to focus on expanding the business.
March 2025 – A well-established Fire and Security (Facilities Management) company approached us to provide support with their admin and processes. We agreed to work closely with the owner to understand the business, with the objective of creating an Admin position within the company.
The challenge was the business owner did most of the admin work and documentation was limited.
After 10 months working closely with the business owner we:-
- Delivered a fully detailed Facilities Management Admin role.
- Documented processes.
- Created easy to re-use templates.
- Ordered all documents in structured document management folders.
- Documented a company overview and structure.
Leaving the client with fully documented processes for use by any employee.
